Lyric Opera Restaurant Choice

If you plan to visit the Lyric Opera, it goes without saying that a great dinner is a requirement for a fulfilling evening. Of course, we are biased, but we think Lloyd’s is a top choice for Lyric Opera visitors. If you haven’t tried Lloyd’s before, we encourage you to check it out.

Lloyd’s is right across the street from the Civic Opera House. Of course, downtown can be very congested, so we help by offering validated parking as low as $8.50! Read more for directions and parking information.

Lloyd’s bread and butter is its food and service. We feature a menu of American favorites, and seafood specialties. The food has a great reputation, as you can see from some of Lloyd’s Chicago reviews. We also offer a wide selection of specialty craft beer and wine.

Lloyd’s is named after Frank Lloyd Wright, and carries his classic, prairie style design and ambience. It’s a good match for the mood of the opera, though a coat and tie are not required. Upscale experiences are so often lacking in today’s “blue jeans” society. While you don’t need to dress up for Lloyd’s, we hope to add a touch of class to your evening.

Because Lyric Opera nights bring a crowd, we encourage you to plan ahead with a reservation – especially if you have a group. Groups also can get amenities and reserved space, so fill out our private dining form to get more information. Our event planning staff will get back you right away!
