Gluten free diet
Do you follow a gluten free diet?
Well, it can be a difficult enough decision on where to eat for the dinner when you throw in the fact that you are allergic to gluten. The decision can be an outright obstacle. Don’t worry because Lloyd’s Chicago takes food allergies very serious and we demonstrate this by offering a variety of menu items that are gluten free. We substitute or alter recipes to appease those with food allergies.
These types of food allergies are caused by gluten or proteins found in wheat, rye, barley, and triticale. Gluten helps food keep their shape or they are the glue that holds the food together. Gluten is NOT only found in bread, there are variety of foods gluten is hiding in.
Those with gluten allergies should stay away from certain ingredients that have hidden gluten such as soups, sauces, packaged frozen or processed fruits/vegetables, and certain beverages.
